Return Policy
By making a purchase at TAT Canada, you acknowledge that you have read the return policy of www.tat-canada.com as mentioned on this page and agree to abide by them. Any disputes arising between person(s) and TAT Canada will be settled by arbitration with a neutral third party in Vancouver, B.C. Canada.
*Please note that products in Japan may occasionally become out of stock or be available in limited quantities. If this occurs, TAT Canada will notify you via email and refund the cost of the unavailable item. However, we do not accept requests for full order refunds in such cases, in accordance with our refund and return policy. Please review the below policy carefully before placing your order.
Handling Fee
Once you place your order, we can cancel it and issue a full refund within the first 24 hours. However, between 24 hours to 48 hours, due to Shopify’s handling fee, TAT Canada will charge a 20% handling fee for your order. *Please note that if our Japan Warehouse provides a tracking number for your order within those 24 hours, we will not be able to cancel or refund the order.* Additionally, the remaining amount after deducting the 20% handling fee will be converted into a discount code that can be used on your next purchase. Thank you for your understanding!
Return Process
Upon receiving your package, any returns must be accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. If items are defective, damaged during shipment, or incorrect, please notify us at nailtatca@gmail.com within 3 days of receiving your shipment.
Returns are only accepted for items with quality issues or incorrect items, which will be inspected by TAT Canada for eligibility. Eligible returns must be shipped back to our Japan warehouse within 7 days of being approved by TAT Canada following inspection. TAT Canada will cover the return shipping costs if the return is due to a manufacturer’s defect, shipping damage, or an incorrect item being sent. Once the package reaches our Japan warehouse, please allow 10-14 business days for the return to be processed. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging, and a receipt or invoice of purchase is required. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned and are not eligible for refunds, including:
- Perishable goods such as seminars, tutorial videos, or magazines
- Intimate or sanitary products
- Hazardous materials
- Flammable liquids or gasses
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Certain health and personal care items
- Any item returned more than 7 days after being approved by TAT Canada, following an inspection for eligibility, will not be accepted for a refund or exchange
Please note that if you are shipping an item over $75 back to our Japan warehouse, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Order Negligence
We will not issue refunds for orders that are returned due to the customer's failure to pick up the package from the post office within the retention period. As an alternative, you may choose to pay the shipping fee again, and we can resend your order to you.
P.O. Box Deliveries
If an order is placed with a P.O. Box address, delivery will be attempted. However, if the delivery fails and the items are returned to us or lost, we will not issue refunds for your orders.

Exchange Policy
Each order may be exchanged once only. To qualify for an exchange, items must be in their original condition—unopened, unused, and sealed in their original packaging—and will be inspected by TAT Canada to ensure they are undamaged. Exchanges must be requested within 7 days of delivery and can be exchanged for a different size, color, or product. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs, including the cost of shipping items back to our Japan warehouse and the re-shipping fees for sending exchanged items to their destination. The original receipt or invoice must accompany the items for the exchange process. Exchange requests received more than 7 days after delivery may be refused depending on the circumstances.
Once the package arrives at our Japan warehouse, please allow 10-14 business days for the exchange.
Missing and Defective Items
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by missing, wrong, or damaged and defective items.
Missing items refer to products that were not included in the shipment but were listed on the packing slip or invoice.
Wrong items refer to products that were shipped but do not match the order details or description.
Damaged and Defective items refer to products that were either damaged during shipping or exhibit visible defects upon arrival, making them unusable.
Please note that if a customer receives a parcel with missing items, you must notify TAT Canada within 7 days of delivery. Claims submitted after 7 days of product delivery will be refused. We will process a refund for the missing items.
Additionally, if the customer receives wrong or damaged and defective items due to an error by TAT Canada or the manufacturer, the customer will need to notify TAT Canada within 7 days of delivery and return the incorrect or defective items to our Japan warehouse as soon as possible after being approved by TAT Canada. TAT Canada will cover the cost of return shipping and re-shipping to your destination. Once the returned item is received and inspected by the Japan warehouse, the customer can choose either to receive a refund or have the correct or replacement items re-shipped to them.
*Please note that in order to receive a refund or have the correct or replacement items re-shipped, the customer must return the wrong or defective items. TAT Canada can only process the refund and reshipment once the TAT Japan Warehouse has received the returned parcel.*
